Annually at this time of year, Malaysia will be facing floods and authorities had begun taking action to equip the communities with preparedness in dealing with prevention against flood and dealing with the aftermath of flood disaster.
Malaysia also faces potential threats in regards to community health and development due to climate change which is worsened by the impending disaster of flood, such as the spread of communicable diseases, water provision, and disruption of the ecosystem.
Recently in 2015, a new disaster management structure has been initiated and the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) will be leading operations efforts. Public are urged to be well informed about the situation to draw themselves up to the natural disaster.
